New NY label Cake Clothing is really bringing the streets to the garment game, flipping pure quality product to the fashion fiends. Their entire summer line is based on the lewd irony of a world of models, drugs, and desserts. The “Models Love Cake” shirt is the flagship design with a scene straight out of a Meatpacking district VIP room. Lusty ladies speckled with coke splatter cover the shirt, and the words “Models Love Cake” are printed in huge 90’s Hollywood pink print on the front. The best design touch is the obstructed “O” in Love which plays on the ambiguous Cake/Coke theme used in their other prints. Plus, I love the way the print continuosly flows to the back so you’ll feel like Cocaine Kate doing a walk, stop, and turn on the runway.
